What is it with this new trend?

I am mean seriously? Played 20 games today and spotted 2 of the in two games.

When I told the guy wtf are you doing carrying a 88 on a E75 he replied, I "get more money noob this way" " learn to use all the cannons....."

Needless to say my reply would be inapropriate to type in here, but both got done in by a IS4's with 130mm S-70 and we lost both games.

A Tier 9 that thinks about moneymaking is doing it wrong.

Long 105 should be standard to grind the tracks, turret and long 128.

Long 88 can at least pen something,a worse case is an IS-4 driving with the stock 122 gun(175 mm pen if I'm not mistaking) and whining that he cant kill anything :facepalmic: ...

IS4 that didn't research BL9 in his IS3 times? Or can't the IS4 mount that gun right away?

First option-rushing through tanks without researching vital modules is not a good idea. When I played the IS-4 stock I could mount the BL-9 right away(no need for tracks) so no problem there.

The 88mm is a novelty on the E-75. It only serves for the fact: "It has to have a stock gun". The 105mm is the defacto stock gun. It is the one your use till your get your hands on the 128mm.

203mm is not bad avg penetration, for a Tier VII Tiger I and a Tier VIII Tiger II, but other wise, a 88mm on the E-75 can be described as:

Haven't seen them with the 88, but saw a few with the short 10.5. Watching those guys fight against IS-4s or other E-75s made me laugh or cry (depending which team they were in). I'm thinking of taking my IS-4 with the idiot gun just to troll people.

I have seen some of them (both E-75 and IS-4), and in general, the response when I asked was "haven't got enough credits" or "it's stock".

My reaction is the same as Manti111

Sometimes, I just want to kill them.

When I first got the IS4 I didn't check the weight limit with the stock tracks and then mounted a rammer on it. After that I couldn't mount the BL9 and was stuck with the crappy 175 pen IS cannon for at least 20 rounds before getting enough XP to unlock the tracks. To say it was frustrating would be an understatement (and it hurt the team).

But playing with an inadequate gun on purpose is both selfish and idiotic at the same time as you are definitely going to die a lot more thus loose more money for repairing your high tier heavy while getting less money and XP due to low damage per round...

Check the guys in E-75s in my replay here.

I have over time run into several Object 704's with the stock gun, even though you can research the BL-10 on the ISU-152 and mount it on the Object 704 w/o track upgrades...

I think i recall about 3 times, all of which in the days before replays.

Question is why one would want cheaper ammo and a gun that can't do damage, over a gun that's actually competitive and can put holes in tier 9 tanks from the front more than once in a blue moon.

Try going through Porsche line, as your "first German heavy". VK45b with 88.

And not that bad setup, I remember it quite ok, and hilarious for sure.

.... or you get the 105 from the VK4502A? I may have hated on it(the gun) from time to time but it's still better on the VK4502B than the 88 is(3 pen and cheaper ammo does not qualify as a reason not to put the 105 on the tank). It also shows you're not an impatient moron who don't research all useful modules before moving on to the next tank.
Another point is that while it has a whooping 3 less pen and may lack ever so slightly on the accuracy, the higher damage output of the 105 -should- justify using it if it's all you got.

Some people have trouble making money with the big guns on their tanks because of the cost of the shell. I know, it defeats the purpose, more pen, more damage more credits but put yourself in their place, they already ding everything with their big guns, at least the cost of the shell will be lower this way :P
Worse, we had someone with ferdi in our clan who was playing with the stock 77, not even the panther one, because...."i make money with it". Found out in a company....awkard silence followed.
But nothing beats the derp sherman gun on a patton. Especially since you have to research the turret first. Whole team was laughing at our patton.
