Changes of g release:
- Fixed the lastposcolor setting. Works correct now. Made them red. :P
- Disabled the last known position markers in Mmap.xml by default for now to prevent any sanctions due to unknown WG policies regarding them. (Activate them to your own conscience in Mmap.xml)
Changes of 8.5f release:
- Added lastposcolor option to Mmap.xml to set the color of the last known position marker.
- Improved performance of last known position scaling routine (thank you muff99).
- Removed the gui_settings.xml from the mod to avoid localisation issues. (Added the showMinimapSuperHeavy switch to Mmap.xml instead) (Thank you DaMatz for the inspired idea.)
- Added Error handling for missing or invalid Mmap.xml files. Your game will no longer crash, but you will get labels stating "Invalid or Missing Mmap.xml!" next to all tank icons.
Changes of 8.5e release:
- Further improved the last known marker position for markerscales other than 1. (from 0.5 to 1.5 will work well enough now, try increasing the minimap size by one step if you got issues)
- Added alpha setting for last known position markers. (<lastposalpha/> option in Mmap.xml, please update yours or use the default one as template)
- Fixed the last known position marker size appearing as too big or small in respect to selected markerscale.
Changes of 8.5d release:
- Fixed the included default Mmap.xml to properly show labels on both minimap and bigmap again. (Sorry for that guys.)
- Improved the last known marker position for markerscales other than 1. (Still not perfect but way better now.)
- Properly remove labels on last known pos markers when shownames is set to false.
Changes of 8.5c release:
Known Problems: Markerscale still is a bit iffy. When you use values other than 1, the position of the last known position marking is not centered on the icon.
- Changed the X for last known position to a tank specific mark.
- Split the namecontent tag in Mmap.xml into two for allies and enemies, so you can define the label seperately. (Please update you Mmap.xml file!)
- Fixed collision of last known position marker IDs when two players have similar account database ids.
- Added a small dropshadow to the positon marker in order to increase visibility.
- Fixed label appearance when having set the bigmap/smallmap option.
Changes of 8.5b release:
- I crumble to the overwhelming demand: Last known position markers added.
- Increased contrast on malinovka and siegfried line minimap.
Changes of 8.5a release:
- Removed Skull Markers from Frag counter bar and made them optional for minimap (see Mmap.xml skullmarkers option)
- Fixed the display error of the square legend text in post mortem mode.
Changes of 8.5 Release:
- Added the new map Pearl River.
- Changed the minimap shots for reworked Siegfried Line, Malinovka and South Coast.

Nice work locastan. Can you get onto the test server and update for the two new maps? I've been using your original hi-res source for ATC images and also like these mini-maps.
For those of you who want better ATC resolution, feel free to use this gamepack ID:ZV8IE3 - images courtesy of locastan, hosted from Netherlands.
ed.
Created a new game pack (import ID: 3ETBXC) for 7.2 and included all of the camera angles. There are 282 images in the set, along with 10 symbols for representing the various tank classes.
If anyone just wants to browse the images they can be found here: http://mywotmaps.imgur.com

I thought about it, but as you still need two PCs to get into a training room, setting up two test installations on different PCs that are useless once 7.2 goes to masses is not worth the time consumed. I will get right down to it as soon as 7.2 gets out ofc.

Loca is there anyway to make the grid lines a little more bolder?
I think there are some minimap style mods out there to do that. I found this per google, but I think there are more:
http://www.guildport...TopicID=9780862
You can use any of those, as the grid is only layered above the minimaps.
On topic: I just noticed I forgot to make Fishermans Bay. Will correct that and update the Mod asap. Sorry for the inconvenience.
FIXED. Plz redownload the package.

Just one question, does this mode recognizes platoon mates on mini map?
Why shouldn't it? It only changes the image in the background of your minimap to a more accurate map. All other things are unchanged and as they appear normally ingame. But if you don't see your mate in orange on the normal minimap, then you won't see him with this either. In this case I suggest you check if anything went wrong with your wot installation.

Yup, my mates are fine and orange on the minimap. But I must admit that I don't see them anymore when they're dead.

I just did the minimaps for the version 7.2, so we have them ready when it goes live in a few weeks. I was worried that I would not be able to them because of the client changes but I nailed it.
If anyone wants to take them for a spin on the 7.2 Common test server take this mod:

Let me know if you notice something wrong or strange about them.

I was only asking because a while ago I downloaded a very nice animated mini map mod, but it failed to show platoon mates in different colour then others and it bothered me because I'm used to seeing them in orange.
Very nice mod.

Very nice mod.
Minimap animated to give better view of where you're tank is looking removes the platoon colors, this mod doesn't though
