Sounds very tasty.

We needed a working OTM for 7.2 for our Historical Realism mod.

Because tanks in the 40's and 50's all had neon signs above them advertising their health to the enemy? Somthing of an oxymoron having an "Historical Realism mod" featuring OTM.

That's why being informed before posting is a good idea. We actually use OTM and the editing tool to remove said icons.

For example: screenshot from 0.7.2 test server.

Now XVM is under active development and will have a lot of changes.

Sorry to say, but it is a pain to install and set the OTM/XVM markers to your needs. The online editor does not cover the OTM settings like the program of Nicolas (http://games.nicolas...ertargetmarkers) did, which is unusable now as there is no OTMData.xml anymore too.

I also am not able to get the full package, statistics and colors, to work. I figured a full install is the easiest way to find out if it works. I copied and pasted everything into the correct folders, and when a battle starts it indicates that XVM is running. It applies the OTM/XVM settings, but no color differentiation or statistics what so ever.

I would have liked to see that OTM was still a separate mod. But, still a +1 for making the effort.

Don't know what are you people talking about. Everything is easy and fast to install and there's no difference between this and old OTM. You have to copy only 2 files, OTMData.xml and VehicleMarkersManager.swf.

My only problem is that "dropshadowfilter" option in OTMData.xml don't work - option for making a shadow for vehicles name. I'd like to know if it's possible to fix it.

EDIT:
Managed to get it work, but still can't achieve same results as from old OTM for vehicle/player name shading.

First of all, thanks for awesome mod!
Easy to install and configure.

But, I wonder what the Efficiency Rating in XVM is based on (how is it calculated)?

Efficiency Rating is based on WoT-News's calc.

I'm trying to enter the percent sign into a "damageMessage" message into XVM.xvmconf file.
What's the right way to do it ? "\%", "%%" nor "ampersand#37;" doesn't work. And I can't find any special character there as an example.
I want to have something like "damageMessage": "-{{dmg}} ({{dmg-ratio}} %)" .
