player rating is OK-ish but global win rate is not. my win rate varies greatly among different tanks.

Is it just me or are there more lemming rushes these days? I belive this mod may be making the situation worse. Bad players now follow the good players. I am not great by any stretch of the imagination but please explain to me why i started a game on Steppes, south base. Started to go right in my Type (yes i'm a wallet warrior blah blah) to cover the rocks. I was 3rd highest tank. After a few seconds farting about, all mobile tanks followed me. I realised this was going to end badly, turned back to go down the sunken valley on the left flank and..........yep, they all followed me leaving the right flank totally defenceless. This is not a good thing imo. I do not use this or any other mod but there is no other explanation i can think of. Unless i have a magnetic Type
Have to agree; as been stated elsewhere, it's a useful tool if you have a crap set of stats and the 'good' players decide to ignore you too;)

But for me, it can only encourage less able or experienced players to play worse as Harry's pointed out, or encourage 'good' players to, at worst, give up on a game. At best, theyr have a completely unrealistic tactical advantage in a fight over others. I can appreciate the effort that has gone into this and I don't wish to upset or flame, but for these reasons I think it should be banned, or included as a part of the game for all in some way if that is the will of WG.

To me, mods like camo, reticles, etc. don't really offer an advantage over others - just a personal preference. But when something comes along like this, you are changing  a fundamental of the game - for example, if I offered a mod that guided rounds into weakspots, how many would cheerfully install it to gain the upper hand?

Don't all rush at once, you cynical buggers....... B)

With XVM, I am getting micro-stutters every time new tanks pop up for the first time, or when a tank gets destroyed. I believe this has to do with new markers being created somehow. When many tanks pop up at once, the effect is really noticeable.

Am I the only one who is suffering this symptom? Running Win Vista 64 (yeah I know...)

At risk of incurring the wrath of my Clan leader (that's you Harry) and being sent to the infamous British Marauders naughty step, I disagree with you for agreeing with Harry. Not only is agreeing with Harry a certifiable offence, I just don't believe that enough players will ever use XVM for it to make a noticable difference in randoms. I'm guessing that only about 10% of the WoT population ever read these forums or mod the game. Furthermore, I'm almost certain that the worse the player, the less likely we are to be blessed with their presence here.

Also, Harry being aimlessly followed by really awful players has already been extensively demonstrated by the membership of BM. He was probably in a BM company battle and muted on Mumble without realising. Even the Village Idiot Society need a lead village idiot, and we have elected Harry as ours* and are very proud of him.

*Well actually he was sort of self elected with one vote. The rest of us were too confused by the question. Cream will always rise to the top hey ?

Is there finally a new version of xvm mod available that shows ONLYthe efficiency/win ration WITHOUT all that Overtargetmarkers CRAP?? Without modifying anything else in the game?

I dont tried this. You can try to install the mod with my install guide. After that, you can try to delete the file "battle" ("battle.swf"). You will find this file in C:\Program Files\World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.7.2\gui\flash.
If this dont work, try to delete the file "VehicleMarkersManager", too.

How i say, i dont know if this will work. Try to save this files in another folder, so that you can copy it back if it doesnt work.

Btw: The OTM is great. Use it for a day or two and you will love it :)

This happens to me too, but only with my old computer. How old is your computer? How's your hardware?

With the mod i see 3 things
-a number expressed in "k" (which i think it's the number of the battles that that player has done)
-a percentage (the win rate)

and, in the middle, another number i don't know what it is... can you explain me that?

Sure. Ive posted it in my opening post, too.

"Its a mod, which shows you the number of battles from any player, the overall winrate and the rating. The rating is given by average destroyed in the battle, average damage in the battle, average spotted in the battle, average defense points in the battle and average captured points in the battle."

You can manuelly check your rating here.

Sorry I'm so lazy
But, are we sure there isn't an error? It says I am a "Good Player"   (watch my joining date at the left)
Anyway, ty.

Look at your average tank level (its 3,51). For that level, you are an good player. Would you got the same points with an average tank level from for example 8, you would be an average player.

There is no error ;)

E8400 dual core running at 4 Ghz, 4 Gb of RAM, Radeon 4890 so it should still be enough punch. Maybe the culprit could be in Flash, or then it could be Dokan. It certainly feels like some task switching is taking place.

I find this pretty useless. Its only usefullness is probably for people that like flaming others for their stats.

Beside this, i find it useless for 2 reasons:

You cant really judge players on this simplified stats. Stats are influenced by so many things that they are pretty misleading. In the end the account is probably used by that players bad-playing son during daytime while the account owner is at work. Many other reasons could give false impressions based on these stats. It kinda reminds me if the gearscore mod in World of Warcraft. Everyone bragged with their epen and flamed about people with low gearscores. Nevertheless i seen too many good players with bad gear or bad players with good gear that i started giving a damn about this stat.

Second even IF it WOULD be a good thing to judge peoples "skill" ... what do you wanna do with it besides flaming ? You cant really distribute them to your liking, they are gonna suicide/camp/whatever anyways. Sure you can flame or counterflame with this info, but i surely want install myself some third party executables on my pc for this gimmick.

Just my personal opinion... if you like it - feel free! Just dont piss me off because my rating is [ihonestlydontknow] ..!

I do know. It's disappointingly good. I was hoping to set your arse on fire with a good, honest, troll flaming.

You no fun.

Its okay if you think so. But have you used this mod, or have you just sayd its bad?

I mean, red players are the first dead players in 90% of all cases. Red players miss the enemy more often then yellow or green players. They make more often an suicide rush then yellow or green players. So you can say if you got many red players in your team, you will loose.

I think its a usefull mod ;)

I'd like this mod purely to shut up the idiots that start insulting your playing ability (even if you are helping the team to victory) by seeing if THEY have crappy stats. Many a player has been silenced from talking crap by one of us sneaking a peek at his stats and reporting back to the rest of the team of their amazing godly abilities......

I tried out Gearscore when i was still in WoW. Thats the reason why i dont try this out.
And to your other arguement. In this thread you find people saying they WON with many red players, which basically proves my point

And my other point remains valid: Even if you knew you WERE in the bad team... what are you gonna do DIFFERENT than if you didnt know ?
Above i read "if i see a green enemy i approach with caution" .... i ALWAYS approach with caution. Even red enemies HAVE guns... and they DO hit once in a while.
And i cant see my gameplay being improved somehow by knowing that my team has only a small chance of winning.
I still would try to use a good tactic.
I still would - politely and very rarely - tell people that there are needed elsewhere if obvious.
I still wouldn't flame someone because he was pwned.
I still would try to play as good as possible.

Like i said, wheres the difference    ?
Of course if you want to identify the low-win-chance games so you can go afk or leave, this is for you  <_<

You can win with red players, thats why i wrote "in 90% off all cases".

And sorry - but if you dont test it, you cant make an judgment.

Actually i can. I would need to test it myself to make comments about things like user-friendliness or being bug free.
But you CAN judge a CONCEPT, even if its theoretical.
I dont actually need to clean toilets with my tongue to "judge" that its not good, for example because its not healthy.

Try closing your web browser, if it has a page with flash stuff going it hogs the preformance.  Also try updating your Flash to latest versjon.
